Mother and Child from a Rural Community

## Current situation This case involves a mother and her young son from a rural community in Romania, both facing extremely serious medical conditions at the same time. ### The mother's situation The mother is suffering from a severe lung infection, which has already caused the collapse of one of her lungs. Doctors have recommended urgent surgery, and the family is currently looking for medical solutions and hospitals in Bucharest where the procedure can be performed safely. ### The child's situation Her son suffers from a rare congenital condition, characterized by the complete absence of the lower jaw (mandible). The child must undergo a delicate surgery to remove a metal rod previously implanted in his leg, but the procedure is particularly challenging because standard intubation is not possible.
